Dr. Bonds is a cut above the rest in my opinion. His staff is very professional and it is obvious they enjoy their jobs. I could not have asked for a better experience from the front desk all the way to having my new glasses fitted.
Dr. Bonds is the only eye doctor my family and I use. His entire staff is very friendly.
Always look for reviews. This time I didn't and oh what a mess it was for my husband & I. I liked Dr.Bonds but they do not code correctly. Our insurance & employer has referred us elsewhere. The front desk clerk (don't know her) told us she would be Nick Saban's next wife. Came over where we sat & showed us her "Alabama purse". This is a doctors office!! She was so unprofessional..
I don't normally do these reviews but I'm going to write my experience anyways. I use to go to Dr. BONDS for my year routine eye exam, I stopped going back in 2011 after they tried to charge me from a mistake of theirs. My vision has been 100% free thru my insurance for 12 plus years for routine checkups, so on my last visit they tried to charge me a certain amount of money. I tried to explain to them that there should be no charge, I only had my normal routine check up but they insisted that I did, so I called my company and insurance company to figure out what was going on and they figured out the Dr Bonds office filed it under medical instead of vision, which was incorrect, my insurance even told them what they filed it as and what they should of filed it as. So I thought it was done at that point, we figured it out. I was wrong, a month later I was getting harassed again that I owed them the $75 (or whatever the amount was) they threatened to send it to collection agency which I told them to do whatever they needed because I wasn't paying it....... SO let's fast forward to now 2016......Against my better judgement I thought I would give them another try, I called to schedule an appointment and the same lady that argued with me back in 2011 answered the phone and tried to argue with me again, I said forget it, I'm not doing this and hung up the phone. Don't get me wrong DR Bonds was always a great Dr but the lady he has working for her doesn't know what she is doing. No loss to me, plenty of optometrists to choose from. Check your billed correctly if you continue to go there.
