Came here to see the grave of Major John C Pelham and decided to walk around and see the other confederate soldiers and the Veteran's Memorial that was built. It was a beautiful place. Some of the grave stones were broken but all in all the cemetery had been kept up pretty good. Some of the older family sections needed some attention. But still a very peaceful place to have been late to rest.

I just moved to Jacksonville Alabama from Wisconsin and I was informed of the history in this cemetery. I took a walk through and was not disappointed. There are many very old graves from the civil war as well as all of the other wars. If you like looking at old cemeteries this is definitely worth your time to spend an afternoon. It's pretty good size.
